A quick rundown on on last nights council meeting. Item 9.1.1 Scheme Amendment Request for Lots 1,2,4,5 & 6 Ficifolia/Peaceful Bay Road was deferred until the Draft Local Planning Strategy is completed.It is uncertain when this will be. Cr, Ken Richardson-Newton has withdrawn his motion to allow dogs at Ocean Beach because it would involve the council in disregarding its own local laws or a lengthy process in re-writing them.He will push for dog access when the laws are reviewed in 2009 .

The Hon.Jon Ford MLC, Minister for Regional Development was in town today to present a cheque of $16000 to the Denmark Community Future Fund. Together with $10000 from the shire and $6000 donated by the community it makes $32000 to get things going.
